Theatre 3: Perchance to Dream by David McCann
Drama
In this brand-new look at Joseph Merrick the so called ‘Elephant Man’. We see his story from the eyes of Sir Frederick Treves.
Treves was the physician who took Merrick into his care at the London hospital in the 1880’s. Told in flash backs, Treves wants to unburden himself and explain his relationship with Merrick to his wife Anne. This reinterpretation of the story provides a fresh and introspective perspective on one of history's most poignant relationships.

In this darkly comic monologue, from Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads series, we meet Susan, an Anglican vicar’s wife. Susan is suffocated by the expectations forced on her by her position and her husband’s over- zealous parishioners. She seeks solace in alcohol and when she travels into Leeds because of her debts with a local shop-owner she discovers Mr Ramesh, learning something about life, and herself, in the back room of this Asian grocer’s shop.
Bart Players: Visitor from Mamaroneck by Neil Simon
Comedy
Karen and Sam haven’t been very happy lately and a night in the Plaza Hotel to celebrate their wedding anniversary is sure to fix that, isn’t it? This one act play by Neil Simon (which forms part of the full length production Plaza Suite) manages to be both hilarious and heart-breaking as Karen does her best to save her marriage with champagne and hors d’oeuvres – but no anchovies
