Drama
Based in the Appalachian region of America, a battered wife refuses to leave her husband and her trailer park home because she is expecting visitors from “out there”. This is a story of hope in the hardest of circumstances, a reminder - we all need a candle of hope in our darkest moments.
Aughakillymaude Community Centre: Salad Day by Deidre Kinahan
A portrayal of the loneliness of like in a nursing home. We meet an elderly couple, Patricia and Sean, who, trapped in a nursing home, plot a daring escape into the sunshine.
Rosemary Drama Group: Elegy for Georgie by Seamus Steele
Thriller
A hillside overlooking the city on a sunny afternoon. A man sits eating lunch while reading. Soon his quiet sojourn is disturbed by a younger man, who appears to be recording a film… But is this the real reason he has appeared? An intriguing play, full of twists and turns.
This play contains strong language and scenes of violence.
