Composer, Performer and multi-instrumentalist Rose Connolly was born in County Fermanagh. Her body of work includes ensemble, large-scale and small-scale works, solo pieces, electronic solo/ensemble pieces and short film/multi-media works also.
As an accomplished multi-instrumentalist in the Classical and traditional music field, Rose studies with Yannis Kyriakides at The Royal Conservatory The Hague and maintains a busy performance schedule in Ireland, performing with an array of professional musicians in both Jazz, traditional and classical contexts. Whilst coming from a traditional Irish music background, Rose will be exploring the world of electronics and free improvisation whilst tying in other influences like Jazz and classical music…you never quite know what to expect.
Rose finds a unique, idiosyncratic balance between traditional Irish song, jazz and contemporary music. She invites you to listen immersively and attentively to the unpredictable, poetic and immersive nature of each piece.
Rose will be accompanied by the very talented Sinead Connolly McGorman on Low Flute, Cajon and voice.
