SL&NCR an entertainment that goes A-Z but not in that order!
Based on stories gathered from members of active age groups, historical societies and railway enthusiasts, this original drama written by Carlo Gébler, is a highly entertaining A-Z celebrating the loves, losses and landscape of the Sligo, Leitrim and Northern Counties Railway.
Over the course of our journey we witness slippery smugglers, intrepid railway guards, fare-skipping rogues, heroic engine drivers, brave citizens, eagle-eyed twitchers and romantic young lovers. We ask what was lost with the premature closure of this much-loved transportation route over the Irish border?
Written with and for young people from Fermanagh and Leitrim, this cross-community and cross-border youth theatre performance is presented by Kabosh Theatre Company and is the culmination of nine months youth engagement activity as part of The Glens Centre’s Across the Lines International Fund for Ireland programme.
