Matthew Sturgis is an historian and biographer, the author of acclaimed lives of Aubrey Beardsley and Walter Sickert, He has contributed to the TLS, Daily Telegraph and Independent on Sunday. He is a member of the Oscar Wilde Society and contributes reviews to their journal The Wildean. In conversation with Carlo Gebler, he discusses his biography of Oscar Wilde, Oscar: A Life, which was nominated for the 2019 Wolfson History Prize.
