Writing Local: How to Tell Your Story and the Stories Around You A Creative Writing Workshop exploring how local writers can tell their stories and the stories of the people and places around
them through fiction and creative non-fiction. Over two days, participants will learn about and explore subjects such as theme, character, plot, setting and dialogue. This course is led by Andrew Maguire, a writer from Omagh. Andrew has an MA in Creative Writing from the Seamus Heaney Centre, Queen's University Belfast. His writing has appeared in places such as the The Honest Ulsterman, Lunate and The Irish Times, and been broadcast on RTE Radio One. He won the 2022 Wild Atlantic Words Shot Story Competition and was shortlisted for the 2020 RTE Short Story Award
