Covid Safety

Welcome back to the Ardhowen Theatre.

We are delighted to welcome you back to Ardhowen Theatre, Enniskillen set on the shore of Lough Erne.  We want your visit to be as safe and as enjoyable as possible, so please ensure you read the following important information.

All information is subject to change in accordance with UK guidelines over the weeks/months ahead.

If your visit is not for a while, please do check back nearer the time to ensure you have the most up to date information.

Details and changes will also be emailed to you before the show.

Please note that Covid regulations remain as guidance for theatres & arts centres. You can find the latest information and advice at NI Direct Coronavirus

For admission to our auditorium performances, we may request that audience members demonstrate proof of their Covid status by providing us with one of the following means of verification:

1. Proof of full vaccination 

  • COVID-19 Immunisation record card – should include name of vaccine, batch number and date given;
  • Or COVID-19 Certificate for those who have travelled or plan to travel in the next 3 months;
  • Or Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination confirmation – letter showing participation in Vaccine trial and being fully vaccinated.


  • Photographic identification for example a driver’s licence or passport to verify identity and match evidence of vaccination status.

2. Proof of a negative *Lateral Flow Test 

  • Text proof of a negative result being reported to the NHS – date and result should be clearly visible with the test having been taken within 24 hours prior to attendance at the venue.
    To receive a text, you must register your lateral flow test at


  • Photographic identification for example a driver’s licence or passport to verify identity and match evidence of test result.

3. Proof of Natural Immunity – Positive PCR in previous 30-180 days

  • Email or text proof of a positive test result – date and test result should be clearly visible and should be at least 30 days prior to entry to the venue but no more than 180 days prior.


  • Photographic identification for example a driver’s licence or passport to verify identity and match evidence of test result.

Face Masks / Coverings
During your visit, we ask that you please wear a face covering at all times out of consideration for those around you. If you are exempt for medical reasons, please speak to a member of our team. If you forget your facemask, we can provide you with one.

Timed Arrival
To ease congestion and help manage your entrance into the theatre, you should arrive early to avoid queuing. Our staff at the venue will be on hand to ensure a smooth transition into the venue.

Test, Trace, Protect contact tracing programme
Venues are required to collect customer details to help with the Test, Trace, Protect contact tracing programme.

Contactless Ticketing
All tickets are now e-tickets that can be printed at home or displayed on your phone. These will be registered using contactless scanners upon arrival.

Cashless Payment
Contactless payment will be available when purchasing refreshments or merchandise. We will not be accepting cash at this time.

Sanitiser Stations
Hand sanitising units will be available upon arrival and throughout the theatre.

The theatre will be cleaned thoroughly before every show, with high touch-point areas cleaned at regular intervals.

Air Circulation
We will maximise the amount of fresh air circulating around the venue during every performance. Please be aware that as a result the temperature inside the auditorium will be more affected by the external temperatures than usual and may create draughts that would normally be avoided.

Exchange Policy
Tickets are non-refundable. Exchanges or credit notes may be offered with advance notice.
