Homicide Timeline Training Including Coercive Control

We are pleased to invite professionals and practitioners from across safeguarding, justice, policing, health, education, community and voluntary sectors to this specialist training session, delivered in partnership with the Department of Justice Northern Ireland, PSNI and Fermanagh and Omagh District Council.

The Homicide Timeline provides a structured approach to understanding patterns of behavioural escalation, particularly where coercive control and stalking are present. Rather than viewing incidents in isolation, the approach encourages professionals to identify patterns across a relationship and recognise how control, threats and behaviours can change over time.

The session will explore:

• Homicide timelines and behavioural escalation
• Coercive control and hidden patterns of abuse
• Risk indicators and opportunities for early intervention
• Learning from domestic homicide cases
• Effective multi-agency understanding, information sharing and response

This event provides an opportunity to bring this specialist learning to the Fermanagh and Omagh District and strengthen our collective understanding of escalating risk and violence against women and girls.
